Princess Sailing Cruises was founded in 2025 by Vasilis Makarounas who grew up between the harbour and the open sea.
Princess Sailing Cruises is more than a daily boat trip—it is the continuation of a family story that has been shaped by the sea for generations. Founded by Vasilis Makarounas, who was born and raised in Rhodes, our journey is inspired by a lifetime spent on the water. His father, a traditional sponge diver from Kalymnos, passed on a deep respect for the sea, while his mother, from the mountain village of Empona in Rhodes, instilled the values of hard work, authenticity, and genuine hospitality. These values became the foundation of everything we do.
Built by hand in 2025, our traditional wooden boat reflects our passion for craftsmanship and our commitment to creating meaningful experiences rather than ordinary excursions. Every cruise is designed to showcase the true beauty of Rhodes, from the crystal-clear waters of Ladiko Bay and Anthony Quinn to the iconic Kallithea Springs, while offering homemade food, unlimited drinks, and warm Greek hospitality.
